I still managed to follow the instructions, but just because I already had a little basic in drawing animals. The instructions are not always clear, sometimes they take it for granted that you already know how to do certain steps. I thought it was a little more detailed. Not to mention that at the beginning it makes you make lines that then serve no purpose other than to disturb during coloring. It could have been better.

Experience was fantastic. I was able to follow along with every detail. Best Book ever. Just wish I had of had some of the same colored pencils as in book, but everything still worked out great.

Really liked it - inspired me to try Pastelmat. I'm a beginner, and I messed up one of the lines along the face and decided not to finish it, but learned enough to do a picture of my own dog that turned out really well. Thanks!

I enjoyed the tutorial but I used a dark green pastelmat and it was very difficult to cover the green with the white polychromos. I would advise others to stay with a white background and do some practice first with curly dog hair. It was a challenge, I actually abandoned it after step 13 but will try again on white paper. Its a cute subject.
